Dimensions and Drawings

PRE-INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

1. Chamber Weights & Measures

a. Weight and Dimensions:

i. Weight: 715 lbs / 325 kgs

ii. Dimensions: 75”W x 43”D x 81”H (Max Height) / 191cm x 110cm x 206cm

b. Power Consumption:

i. Peak Power: 1,500 watts (~13 amps at 120 volts)

ii. Stand-By Power: <100 watts

2. Room Mechanical Requirements

a. Room Size: The room must be larger than 8’ x 8’ (2.4 x 2.4 meters) with a ceiling of at least 8’ ( 2.4 meters). The recommended room size is 12’ x 12’ or about 144 sq ft. See also “Room Furnishings”.

b.  Door Size: 32” (82 cm) door widths for all doors from the facility entrance into the destination room are desired. It is possible to remove the door on a 30” door, in certain situations. Your Ammortal representative is available to discuss your specific situation.

c. Room Floor and Flooring: A flat hard subfloor is required. Various flooring materials may be used on top of the subfloor, such as wood, carpet, tile, or vinyl flooring. If the floor slopes more than 1” (2.5 cm) under the Chamber, or there is floor height irregularity underneath one of the 9 feet of the Chamber, shims may be required. Each of the nine (9) chamber feet is adjustable in height up to 1.5”, and each foot must make solid contact with the floor to ensure reliability and performance.

d. Windows & Blinds: To enable the best user experience, a windowless room is preferred. If the room has windows, it is recommended to add effective, blackout curtains. If such a room is not available, please try to minimize the amount of outside light entering the room.

e. Room Privacy: The room must be secure, safe, and private to ensure the user feels comfortable when using the Chamber partially clothed, or even naked. Note: Although the Chamber user must be able to lock the door, the commercial owner must be able to override the door lock and gain access to the room from the outside if an emergency occurs.

f. Room Temperature: The room should be cool but comfortable. The Chamber will add some heat to the room during operation, but not excessively so. It is always better to start the session with the room and the Chamber bed surface feeling a bit cold. Usually within 5 minutes of use, the user begins to feel warmer. The heat generated by the Chamber itself is easily managed by a normal air conditioning system with steady airflow.

g. Room Ventilation: The room needs good ventilation. The Chamber gives off a small amount of Ozone, and users can sometimes create a little body odor. If the circulation from the commercial or residential air conditioning system that supplies the room does not provide sufficient ventilation, please consider an alternate room. If no other room is available, purchase an air cleaner (such as a small Austin Air brand room air cleaner). A salt wall can also help.

h. Sound: The chamber provides a looping musical background when not in use, so no additional music source is required to ensure a pleasant and serving ambiance.

i. Adjacent Room Sound Considerations: In some spaces, the deep bass of the Chamber’s vibro-acoustics can be felt or heard in adjacent rooms. This should be taken into consideration when selecting the appropriate space. At the time of installation, the Ammortal technician can tune the bass to reduce its inter-room impact, if that is desired.

3.  Room Electrical Requirements

a. Wall Power Outlet Requirements: A dedicated 20-amp 120-volt outlet is required. A 15-amp circuit will not suffice, and the circuit that the outlet is on, cannot be used by any other equipment.

b. Ethernet Wall Port Requirements: Ammortal purposefully does not use wifi in its products, to reduce unwanted EMF. The Chamber does, however, require a hardwired connection to full-time, stable internet, so the unit can be monitored, software can be updated, and new content can be downloaded. This connection is very important. A 10’ CAT6 cable is provided by Ammortal at the time of installation. If a hard-wired ethernet port does not exist and cannot be installed, please contact Ammortal.

4. Other Suggested Room Considerations

a. Room Furnishings: The following minimum furnishings are recommended for comfortably removing and storing clothing, jewelry, smartphones, and shoes:

i. a soft cushioned chair

ii. a small table

iii. a few wall hooks (or coat tree)

iv. a mirror (full-sized is recommended)

b. Room Lighting: As mentioned above, a windowless room is best, or one with blackout curtains on windows, and warm, soft lighting. The chamber provides sufficient lighting  when in stand-by mode, but if additional light is desired in the room, warm multi-source soft lamp light, or wall up-lighting, is highly recommended. Please do not use ceiling based lights as they can interfere with the session. Soft warm light helps with post-session integration and extends the session’s value.

c. Room Décor: The room should feel some combination of inviting, calm, emotionally warm, grounded, soothing and comfortable. We encourage creating an ambiance that connects with nature, implies the hope of transformation and well-being, and even the possibility of a metaphysical or spiritual connection. Please consider edge-lit natural material surfaces, like wood, stone, and reed. See “Room Lighting”.

d. Room Scent: In addition to proper ventilation and air cleaning, the light diffusing of a small amount of essential oils may add to the user experience. This will depend on your personal preference.

OPERATION & USE

1. Important User Warnings

a. No Physical Contact: Do not touch anyone while they are inside the Chamber during a session. Doing so will cause an uncomfortable electric shock, felt by both parties. Users should also keep their arms and legs inside the Chamber during the session. If the user touches anything metal external to the Chamber, it will generate a small but unpleasant shock, as well.

b. No Plugged-In Devices: Users must not touch or hold any electrical device (i.e. phone or tablet) that is plugged into a power outlet or external charging device during a session. Doing so will cause an uncomfortable electric shock and may damage the device.

c. Use Only Distilled Water: Add only distilled water to the hydrogen generation reservoir. NEVER use tap water, or any other liquid, otherwise, damage can occur to specific interior components that are not covered under the Warranty. Do NOT overfill. Maintain the water level at the ¼ mark.

2. Initial Powering On & Sleep/Wake Modes

a. Initial Powering On: To turn the Chamber on, locate the power switch (next to the power cord) on the backside of the Chamber, and flip the switch from the “0” position to the “1” position. Once turned on the Chamber will begin a boot-up process, highlighted by a blinking white light emanating from the bed of the Chamber. You may also hear the speakers crackle or pop as the system boots up. This is normal. This boot-up process will last for a few short minutes. You will know the Chamber is ready to begin running sessions when the light emanating from the bed stays on without blinking, and background music begins to play.

b.  Engaging Standby-Sleep Mode: There is no need to turn the Chamber off between sessions, or at the end of the day. After 5 minutes of inactivity, the Chamber will automatically place itself in a low-power Standby-Sleep mode, with the lights and music off. If you do not want to wait, you can press and hold the physical button under the screen on the column until the Chamber goes into Standby Mode (approximately 8 seconds).

c. Awakening From Sleep: To Awaken the Chamber from Standby-Sleep Mode, simply press the physical button underneath the screen on the column.

3. Session Preparation (Before Each Session)

a. Cleanse Bed Surface: If the Chamber’s acrylic bed surface has not been cleaned, spray a small amount of one of the following approved cleaners - Casabella Glass Cleaner, Force of Nature, or Better Life Glass Cleaner - onto the surface of the bed and wipe thoroughly with soft cotton or microfiber cloth, until dry. Note: The bed must only be cleaned with acrylic-safe ingredients that do not include ammonia, alcohol, or bleach.

b. Attach And Place New Cannula: After the bed surface has been cleaned, locate the brass-colored, Hydrogen gas, valve stem in the Hydrogen fill port area (located on the surface below the head side of the bed). Attach a new cannula to the valve stem by gently but firmly pushing the end of the cannula tubing to cover the valve stem. Pull the cannula over the top edge of the bed, and drape it along the backside edge, so the user can lay next to it and still easily grab it when instructed.

c. Place Clean Towel On Bed: After the bed surface has been cleaned, place a clean rolled or folded towel where the Chamber user’s head rests.

d. Check Water Levels: Check the water level gauge above the Hydrogen gas valve stem to confirm that there is at least 1/16th of a tank of distilled water. If not, add distilled water, but do not fill more than ½ full. Importantly, tap water (or anything other than distilled water) cannot be used. It will damage the H2 system irreparably.

4. Informed Consent

a.  Informed Consent: Every new user must sign an informed consent that properly informs the user so they can make an informed decision about their individual use of the Chamber. Please find the Informed Consent in the appendix of this Manual. All Warnings, Contraindications, and Precautions (included in this Manual) must be included in any Informed Consent used.

5. Session Operation

a. User Session Operation Steps:

i. Step 1: Ensure Room is Private: Ensure that the door to the room is locked and the room private. It must feel like a private and safe space, as it is important that the user can relax into their journey.

ii. Step 2: Remove Jewelry & Wearables: To protect the Chamber bed surface from scratching, it is best to remove all jewelry before entering the Chamber. Wedding bands and small rings may remain on. You can choose to leave on items like an Apple Watch, Woop, Oura Ring or similar, yet over time, the battery life could be affected due to multiple technologies interacting.

iii. Step 3: Disrobe To Level Of Comfort: To maximize the benefit of the session, we encourage users to remove most, or all, of their clothing. The more skin they expose, the more light benefits they will receive - but it is most important that they only disrobe to their level of comfort.

iv. Step 4: Select Journey & Guide On User Interface: To select and start a Chamber Journey, press the “Begin” button on the screen, follow the Chamber’s voice guidance, and follow the prompts.

v. Nothing Further Required: The voice will guide the user through the entire Chamber process from start to finish. All sessions are timed and include guided breathwork, intention-setting, and integration phases. Once a session has begun, the Chamber will take care of everything, so the user can relax and simply enjoy the ride.

b. Emergency Session Stop: If for any reason, the user wishes to end the session early, they should simply press the physical button below the screen, the lid will rise and the session will end. Graphics on the screen will also highlight this button, as will the guiding voice, so it is easy to find while in session.

c. Post-Session Cleaning & Preparation: At commercial facilities, we encourage operators to repeat the Session Preparation Steps above, after each session, to ensure preparedness.

CLEANING & MAINTENENCE

1. Regular Cleaning Schedules

a. Daily Cleaning: Clean touch surfaces between sessions: acrylic bed, control touchscreen, start/stop button, change out nasal cannula.

b. Weekly Cleaning: Vacuum upper and lower light panel surfaces, and the top surface. Using a damp soft cloth wipe down the touchscreen, button, and vertical plastic cladding. Vacuum the entire room including behind the Chamber and around the entire bottom edge. The electrostatic field generated within the Chamber can and will pick up charged dust particles which can impact device performance.

c. Monthly Cleaning: Wipe wood laminate surfaces with the same acrylic-safe bed spray cleaner, or a damp soft cloth.

d. General Cleaning Note: If after using one of the approved Acrylic cleaners (see Operation & Use: Session Preparation: Cleanse Bed Surface), the acrylic surface still seems foggy, scratched, marked, or otherwise unclean, you can use the supplied acrylicsafe Novus #2 Fine Scratch Remover, and a soft organic cotton or microfiber towel. Follow the directions on the Novus bottle. Please note (as described in Notices) that each acrylic bed will have some amount of minor imperfections, such as small bubbles, small cracks, small areas of warpage and/or other minor yet potentially noticeable imperfections.

2. Maintenance

a. Electromagnetic Resonator: Your Ammortal representative will contact you if and when your resonator requires maintenance, based on usage and time.

b. Hydrogen Generation and Intermittent Use: If the Chamber will not be used for a period longer than one week, add distilled water to the machine’s reservoir to keep the hydrogen system’s membrane moist. If the machine has not been used for over 30 days, and the reservoir is dry, drain any existing water from the system, then add fresh distilled water into the reservoir until it reaches ½ full, and then wait 24 hours before turning the power on. Never let the water reservoir dry up for more than one year, as it may become inoperable. Frequently changing the water is good for the working life of the machine, because the water may become stale.

    TROUBLESHOOTING, SERVICING, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

    1. Troubleshooting

    a. Not Powering On: The Chamber takes a few minutes to boot up. If you flip the switch to the on position (“1” position) and the touchscreen display on the vertical support arm does not light up and begins to show a bootup process, first check the obvious reasons: a) is the power cord plugged into the wall and the Chamber; and b) does the wall outlet have power. If both of those are affirmative, please reboot the Chamber as follows: 1) power the unit off using the switch at the bottom backside of the Chamber and leave it off for 30 seconds, and then b) power it on. The Chamber bed edge lighting will blink during the boot-up process which will take between 2-3 minutes. If the touchscreen display still does not show the bootup process within 1 minute, please call Ammortal Customer Service at Support@ammortal.com.

    b. Not Waking Up, Or Physical Button Not Working: If the Chamber is in Sleep mode and you press the physical button under the touchscreen display on the vertical support arm, but the Chamber does not wake up (i.e. the edge light and music turn on), please reboot the Chamber as follows: 1) power the unit off using the switch at the bottom backside of the Chamber and leave it off for 30 seconds, and then b) power it on. The Chamber bed edge lighting will blink during the boot-up process which will take between 2-3 minutes.

    c. Chamber Touchscreen Frozen, Blank, Or Inoperable: If the Chamber touchscreen display is not working or is blank, please reboot the Chamber as follows: 1) power the unit off using the switch at the bottom backside of the Chamber and leave it off for 30 seconds, and then b) power it on.

    d. Lid Did Not Come Down During Session, Or Not Going Up At End Of Session: If the lid is not properly moving up or down during a session, please reboot the Chamber as follows: 1) power the unit off using the switch at the bottom backside of the Chamber and leave it off for 30 seconds, and then b) power it on. The Chamber bed edge lighting will blink during the boot-up process which will take between 2-3 minutes. If the lid is still not functioning properly, please call Ammortal Customer Service at Support@ ammortal.com.

    e. Nothing Seems To Be Coming Out Of The Nasal Cannula: Although the flow of the molecular hydrogen gas from the cannula is not forceful, it can be checked. To test the flow place a clean finger so that it is covering both of the nasal input prongs, wait 4s, and release, you should hear a small hissing noise/and feel a small amount of pressure releasing. Test at least 3 times before concluding functionality. If after three tests no gas is noticeable, please call Ammortal Customer Service at Support@ammortal.com.

    f. Top Speaker(s) Not Working: If a speaker at the top of the Chamber does not seem to be working, please reboot the Chamber as follows: 1) power the unit off using the switch at the bottom backside of the Chamber and leave it off for 30 seconds, and then b) power it on. The Chamber bed edge lighting will blink during the boot-up process which will take between 2-3 minutes. If the speaker(s) is still not functioning properly, please call Ammortal Customer Service at Support@ammortal.com.

    g. Bed Transducer(s) Not Working: It is normal for one or more sound transducers (that are mounted to the clear bed) to have no sound or vibration at various times during a session or feel stronger or weaker than other transducers. However, if you also notice that one or more of them has no sound or vibration during the standby mode please reboot the Chamber as follows: 1) power the unit off using the switch at the bottom backside of the Chamber and leave it off for 30 seconds, and then b) power it on. The Chamber bed edge lighting will blink during the boot-up process which will take between 2-3 minutes. If the transducer(s) is still not functioning properly, please call Ammortal Customer Service at Support@ammortal.com.

    h. 50% Of The Lights Seem Not To Be Working: The Chamber lights have a 50/50 checkerboard-looking pattern of a) invisible-to-the-human-eye, near-infrared lights and b) visible red lights. So, if it looks like every other light is not on, it is simply that the human eye cannot see that the lights are on. If desired, you can use your smartphone camera to take a picture of the lights to show that the near-infrared lights are on. However, if any LED light(s) appear to be off, please call Ammortal Customer Service at Support@ammortal.com.

    i. One or More LED lights Are Not Functioning: Please read the Troubleshooting note entitled, “50% Of The Lights Seem Not To Be Working” first. If a single LED light or a section of LED lights does not appear to be working, please contact Ammortal Customer Service at Support@ammortal.com.

    j. Not sure if PEMF/PEF Field Is Working: You can easily determine if the PEMF field is working, by one of two methods: 1) While in session, the user can usually feel the field (feels like vibration in the skin) changing when they move their hand towards and away from the top of the bed surface directly above the metal bed supports, and 2) When in session (and WITHOUT a user on the bed), you can usually feel the field (feels like vibration in your skin) changing when you move their hand towards and away from the top of the bed surface near a portion of the embedded white coiled wire. However, if you do not feel the field during either of these tests, please ask another person to try. If neither of you feel the field, please reboot the Chamber as follows: 1) power the unit off using the switch at the bottom backside of the Chamber and leave it off for 30 seconds, and then b) power it on. The Chamber bed edge lighting will blink during the boot-up process which will take between 2-3 minutes. If you still cannot feel the field, please call Ammortal Customer Service at Support@ammortal.com.

    k. Can’t Fully Clean Bed Surface: If after using one of the approved Acrylic cleaners (see Operation & Use: Session Preparation: Cleanse Bed Surface), the acrylic surface still seems foggy, scratched, marked, or otherwise unclean, you can use the supplied acrylicsafe Novus #2 Fine Scratch Remover, and a soft organic cotton or microfiber towel. Follow the directions on the Novus bottle. Please note (as described in Notices) that each acrylic bed will have some amount of minor imperfections, such as small bubbles, small cracks, small areas of warpage and/or other minor yet potentially noticeable imperfections.

    l. Pressing Physical Button Does Not End Session: If pressing the physical button does not end the session, please reboot the Chamber as follows: 1) power the unit off using the switch at the bottom backside of the Chamber and leave it off for 30 seconds, and then b) power it on. The Chamber bed edge lighting will blink during the boot-up process which will take between 2-3 minutes. If the button still does not work in the next session, please call Ammortal Customer Service at Support@ammortal.com.

    m. Chamber Turns Off Between Sessions: The Chamber is programmed to go into sleep mode after a few minutes, to save power. To turn it on, simply press the physical button below the touchscreen on the vertical support and it will immediately power up (lights and sound).

A: Ideally, the Chamber is designed to be experienced nude - as the photobiomodulation in particular is great for the skin. However, about 50% of people choose to keep their undergarments on - as it’s most important that you’re comfortable while inside the Chamber. A bathing suit or even clothes (as long as there are no exposed buttons, snaps, or zippers that could damage the acrylic surface) are also options.

Q: How do I know if the Chamber and all of its subsystems and modalities are working?

A: Procedures to check/troubleshoot the operation of subsystems are listed in the “Troubleshooting, Servicing, and Customer Service” section. For unanswered questions, please contact Ammortal Customer Service.
